Sam Mattock, a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, is a highly-experienced strategic, operational and tactical security advisor who has worked for many years in the private sector after his service as a British Army officer.
Sam uses his excellent organizational, project leadership, aviation security, communications, training, and command and control experience to help clients achieve their security and business goals, predominantly in Africa. Most of his experience is drawn from working in developing and complex economies where he perfectly balances his military, project and commercial experience.
In addition to working in partnership with commercial ventures, Sam has extensive experience operating alongside NGOs, non-profits, charities and development agencies, as well as with diplomatic missions. John recently retired from the British Army after 37 years service. Latterly he spent much of his service in the political and military sphere in Africa. His last position was the Principal Military Advisor to Special Representative to the Secretary General (SRSG) Augustine Mahiga, as well as Head of the Counter Piracy Unit in the UN Political Mission for Somalia (UNPOS).
Prior to this he was the United Kingdom's (UK's) first Military Representative to Somalia and served as the UK's Defence Advisor to Kenya, Tanzania, The Seychelles and Somalia. Much of his focus was aimed at coordinating both the Somali's own response to piracy and that of the international community. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and considered a subject matter expert on anti piracy for the media.
John headed the IGAD Verification and Monitoring Team in South Sudan that led to the successful completion of the talks that delivered the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. He has also served in The Western Sahara with the United Nations (UN) and in New York at UN HQ in an intelligence related roll.
He served in numerous theatres and commanded at Regimental level. His staff experience also covers administration and training as Chief of Staff of The Royal School of Signals and Blandford. He attended Kings College Taunton, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and staff training at the Joint Services Defence College Greenwich.
Outside the Army he was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Leopardstown Park Hospital in Dublin Ireland a hospital catering for British Veterans in Ireland. He is a keen sailor and pilot. He was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth as part of the 1st Gulf War Honours and Awards.
Marco has served 17 years with the German Federal Police, reaching the rank of Captain. From 2008 to 2011 he served at the German Embassy, Nairobi as the Regional Head of Security, responsible for the Embassy security in 18 countries in Africa.
Marco has built up a strong and reliable network within the Diplomatic Security community and governmental bodies across East Africa.
Previous work experience includes, communication, coordination and logistics in the European Police Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a former member of the German riot police unit, border police and airport security unit. He has extensive experience in handling kidnapping cases, in terms of negotiation tactics and operations across East Africa.
Marco holds a Public Administration Diploma from the Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences in Germany.
Wayne is a retired Brigadier in South African Police and a graduate in business management from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He is a highly experienced operational, investigational and tactical advisor, with vast experience in both the law enforcement and private security sectors.
Wayne's experience in managing multi agency operations in complex, post conflict and hostile environments enables him to provide clients with realistic, high impact, attainable security solutions irrespective of the challenges.
Among his accomplishments, is the formation and growth of a multi-agency, multi faceted investigative task team, charged with disrupting and bringing to book the activities of a complex, trans-national organised crime syndicate. Having made history as the youngest full colonel in the history of the South African Police Service, Wayne continues to put 100% energy into his client's requirements to achieve the results above and beyond expectations.
Norah is the Executive Assistant to the CEO and has extensive experience in administration. She started off as a news reporter at Baraka FM then moved into the world of cellular.
